Contract Research Organization Helps Typhoon Relief Fund

COSTA MESA, Calif., November 18, 2013/PRWeb/–WCCT Global, a contract research organization headquartered in Southern California announced today an initiative to help those affected by typhoon Haiyan. The company’s plan is to raise funds to donate to the American Red Cross to directly send aid to those that were affected in the Philippines. The plan that they have established is to contribute $25 for every clinical trial volunteer that completes a study with them through December 15th.

The company’s goal is to not only raise funds for those that were affected, but to have the clinical trial volunteer community be involved in the process as well. In addition, the company as a whole has also stated that that they will be matching all employee contributions that goes toward the relief. WCCT Global’s Vice President of Global Clinical Development stated, “The sole reason for clinical trials is to establish new ways to help those in need in the future. This devastating typhoon that hit the Philippines has left thousands in need today and WCCT Global wanted to immediately implement a plan to send aid. We, as an organization, wanted to tell to the community “We Care Beyond Research” and truly help those in need now.”
