California CRO Poised to Take “Best Contract Research Organization” Award
COSTA MESA, Calif.,/IReach-PRNewswire/–California CRO WCCT Global has been selected as a finalist for the 2015 SCRIP Awards in the category of “Best Contract Research Organization.” WCCT Global is one of six CROs that were selected as finalists, only one of which will be awarded the title at the 11th Annual SCRIP Awards, which is set to take place this December in London. Candidates were asked to elaborate on their company’s achievements between June 2014 and May 2015, answering questions such as “What range of capabilities and strengths does the CRO offer?” and “What innovations in patient recruitment strategy has the CRO brought to its partner?” This year as criteria, it was announced that judging for the award would “pay particular attention to the innovative patient recruitment strategies the CRO has brought to the deal.”
Along with its other services, the California CRO was pleased to expound upon its innovations in patient recruitment strategy as one of the company’s core and specialized services. WCCT Global notes what they feel best positioned the CRO to become a finalist for the 2015 SCRIP Awards: “We have developed a specialized process for using digital media that enables sponsors to come to us and receive predictive data on how many patients we will be able to contract based on their exclusionary factors within the protocols. In addition to this, we have rolled out a cloud-based patient retention application which allows us to actively monitor patients who are in a trial and interact with them in real time.” WCCT Global’s patient recruitment methods have been utilized by many sponsor companies, expediting enrollment timelines and in most cases, reducing the resources necessary to recruit patients within these timelines.
Beyond WCCT Global’s patient recruitment strategy, the California CRO takes pride in offering the industry an expedited approach to study start up and enrollment. WCCT Executive Vice President of Marketing and Business Development, Bill Van Nostrand, commented on the company’s commitment towards this goal: “WCCT Global, as a mid-sized CRO, is unique in that our ownership of multiple sites makes study start up more expedited than other contract research organizations. This, combined with our specialized patient recruitment approach is the combination which leads to some of the quickest study completion timelines in the industry. ” WCCT Global is confident that it is well-poised to be awarded the title of Best Contract Research Organization at the upcoming SCRIP Awards this December.
