University Clinical Investigators ( UCI Inc) is a privately owned independent Phase II-IV Clinical Trials company founded in 1997.
Dr. Jean-Louis Selam joined UCI Inc ( dba Diabetes Research Center, Tustin, California) in 2003 and became the center’s CEO in 2006. Dr Selam is a distinguished Endocrinologist and Internal Medicine and has been affiliated with West Coast Clinical Trials since 2009. Dr. Selam received his undergraduate education and medical doctorate in France at the University of Montpellier and has been licensed in California since 1987. The Diabetes Research Center has performed over 200 phase 1-4 diabetic studies, the majority in the fields of insulin, oral medications, neuropathy and obesity. Dr. Selam is the author of 116 peer-reviewed publications, and he is the Editor in Chief of the journals Infusystems, a leading journal in the field of insulin delivery systems, which he founded in 1983. He has collaborated with WCCT clinical trials as a principal-investigator, sub-investigator, or physician screener. He has also provided medical expertise and guidance on a number of clinical trials with regard to study design.
